They've spread their wings and flown albeit quite tentatively. That's Mama on the left in the center photo.
I'm not ready for them to go...this morning the twins were in the nest, this afternoon they were 'flying' from branch to branch. Papa Jay was watching me very carefully as I took these photos. Kept flying from one side to the other right past me. I explained I was filming them for their baby albums, for posterity, but he didn't understand. Finally let them be and saved my own life = )...and now they are really gone. I checked the next day and they have abandoned the nest totally. |
