First Stroller Ride

I'm such a contented chap. Put me in the car seat, then hook it into the stroller, and I'm out like a light.

A big outing

Whoopee! Mommy drove Daddy's truck and Grandma sat next to me for a ride to the craft store. I slept all the way there, whilst in the store, and back home again.

We Meet Burke Ander

Annemarie met us at the door and handed Burke to me right then and there. She said, "Here, I know you've been waiting to hold him." And hold him I did!

Burke's reaction to meeting Sneed for the first time was similar to Annemarie's when she met him in the Abadan, Iran, airport at 6 weeks old. It didn't take long, however, before Burke opened his eyes, saw his Papa Sneed, and decided to go to sleep.

They Left the Nest

My babies have grown up so fast - too fast!!

In the nest and....OUT!!

They've spread their wings and flown albeit quite tentatively. That's Mama on the left in the center photo.

I'm not ready for them to go...this morning the twins were in the nest, this afternoon they were 'flying' from branch to branch. Papa Jay was watching me very carefully as I took these photos. Kept flying from one side to the other right past me. I explained I was filming them for their baby albums, for posterity, but he didn't understand. Finally let them be and saved my own life = )...and now they are really gone. I checked the next day and they have abandoned the nest totally.

Sunday, May 1

It's May, May the First, May Day, It's Sunday, It's a Great Day to have a Baby

Annemarie and Brett jointly called at precisely 302PM. i say 'precisely' since I checked the caller ID which said 3:01 and knowing that it was often off by a minute or two, verified with my cell phone, that indeed the time on the caller ID was a minute shy. I know, I know, that's just the way I am. I like to be exact in my reporting.

Here's the email I sent out reporting the glad tidings:

That's all the news we have for now ~ To say the least...We're over the moon!!
