And Now For the Rest of the Story

Ikenna said it when he came over to say Hello..."Happy Birthday". Yep, April 3 is Sneed's birthday. When Chika originally contacted him about Marque being in the wedding, he thought it would be a hoot and something different to do on his birthday. To say the least, indeed it was 'different'.

Driving away from the venue, Sneed stopped to fill Marque up with some petrol, so I arrived home before he did. Just as I turned on our street, I recognized a car coming toward me. Erika, Terry, and all the children had just been at the house leaving some birthday cheer for Sneed. They turned around and stayed until Sneed arrived some minutes later. We visited for a bit, they left, and we went to Sushi Hana for dinner. By this time it was 830PM.

Never having been to Sushi Hana but having heard great reviews, we ordered some shrimp and vegetable tempura and a Katy Roll. There were so many different named sushi rolls. The Katy Roll had spicy salmon, crabmeat, cream cheese and avocado. The tempura dish arrived first. The batter was so light it reminded us of when we were in Malaysia and our Japanese neighbor, Mrs Yamane, made some tempura for us. It was our first instance of the dish then and had never been duplicated. Tonight's entree, however, came very close. The Katy Roll was served and we had to box it for Sunday's lunch. It was so late, we were so tired, and even though we were so hungry, we couldn't eat another bite. Although...we did manage to eat the Andes chocolate mints we received with the chit.

It wasn't long after we got home that we hit the hay. It had been a very different birthday and that's the rest of the story.
